High quality spot welding helps make this happen.
Spot welding is when two pieces of metal together are placed together, an electrode is put on either side, and a high current is passed through those electrodes to make a fusion point which bonds the two metal surfaces together.
At the Boscotek manufacturing facility, we use table spot welders. This is an extremely versatile method of spot welding where a 5mm-thick solid copper plate forms a ‘tabletop’. Copper is used because of its high level of conductivity. The fabricated product is placed on the tabletop. The other conductor is a movable arm which can be easily maneuvered into tight spaces and corners.
The biggest advantage of the table spot welder is it allows spot welding of very large Boscotek items such as industrial storage cupboards and workshop drawers. Table spot welding saves our Boscotek operators from manhandling bulky items. The copper tabletop acts as a work bench during welding.
Another benefit of Boscotek table spot welding is its speed and efficiency. The process can be completed in a matter of seconds, making it ideal for high-volume production lines. Additionally, the welds produced are typically very strong, ensuring that the welded parts will not come apart under normal use. That weld strength is one reason why Boscotek workshop storage units will be in use for many years.
